CRE Dual

The CRE Dual replaces conventional twin rods with a patented cast bracket that secures dual spijlen in the neutral line of the belt, guaranteeing minimal spacing tolerance and uniform product passage across the entire web. This design enlarges effective sieving area compared with welded twin rod belts, reduces wear on belts and support components, and prevents product waste and contamination by eliminating the common issue of materials getting stuck between rods, a practical upgrade for demanding agricultural and industrial sieving operations.

The brackets may contain both steel and lightweight material.

  • Extended belt service life: The dual CRE arrangement allows larger pitch spacing and fewer rivets, resulting in smoother belt travel and noticeably longer operational life than traditional welded twins.
  • Rapid rod replacement: The cast rod-end system supports quick swapping of single rods, reducing repair time and keeping sieving lines running.
  • Eliminates bushing maintenance: By removing the need for bushings, CRE duals prevent the routine wear and part-replacement issues common to bushing systems.
  • Lower wear on rollers and rods: The narrow profile of the CRE rods matches double‑cam traction belts, decreasing wear on rollers and rod components.

Broekema’s CRE cast rod-end is a patented, cast bracket solution available in single, dual and triple rod configurations, engineered to sit in the neutral line of sieving conveyor belts and guarantee consistent rod spacing with very small tolerances. The open cast design increases sieving area compared with welded twinbands and permits a larger pitch with fewer rivets, which smooths belt operation and substantially extends belt life. CRE rods eliminate the need for bushings (removing associated wear and replacements), enable quick replacement of individual rods for fast field repairs, reduce wear on support rollers and rods by using narrow ends compatible with double‑cam traction belts, and have been proven in demanding applications such as sugarcane harvesting as well as standard potato harvesting, washing and sorting operations.
