Triple rod

Triple rods are Broekema’s patented solution for applications where consistent sieving and belt durability are critical. These rods are mounted in a preformed bracket that ensures constant gaps—whether on flat sections or around drive and return rollers. Compared to traditional twin rod designs, triple rods provide a longer belt lifetime, smoother operation, and better resistance to wear and product loss.

Triple rods offer unmatched consistency and performance in even the most demanding conditions.

  • Equal gap between rods at all points—also around rollers
  • Fewer fasteners required thanks to larger belt pitch
  • Weight reduction options using P90-10
  • Improved belt flexibility and longer service life

Triple rod webs are designed to guarantee equal spacing between rods across the entire belt—including over drive and reversing rollers. This helps prevent product jams, wear, and contamination due to uneven gaps. By using a larger belt pitch and fewer fasteners, triple rods ensure a smoother belt path and reduce the overall stiffness of the web.

The rods sit in the neutral line of the belt and are securely held in position by a precision-formed bracket. Various configurations are available, including options with lightweight rods (P90-10), stainless steel, or even mixed-material rods for optimized weight and stability. A dedicated bracket limits the flexibility between the three rods to maintain consistent spacing and prevent distortion.

Triple rod belts have proven themselves in the toughest field conditions, including sugarcane harvesting and high-volume vegetable handling. They are ideal wherever gentle, consistent sieving and minimal maintenance are key.
