ASP Rod

The ASP rod is specially designed with an extra hole to accommodate Broekema’s Active Side Protection (ASP) fingers. This smart addition allows for a secure and simple mounting of ASP accessories, ensuring optimal side protection without the need for additional hardware or rod coverings.

Used in combination with our patented ASP fingers, the ASP rod plays a key role in preventing side waste and product damage. It enables the fingers to move dynamically with the belt, eliminating friction between the crop and static side plates — especially important for delicate produce like tomatoes or potatoes.

ASP rods can be implemented on a wide range of belt types — including sieving belts, twin belts and full-surface closed belts — without the need for larger drum diameters. The ASP solution offers excellent in-field serviceability and minimal added weight, making it ideal for mobile harvesting equipment where reliability and gentle handling go hand in hand.
