Repair Kit

Fast, Reliable Belt Fixes in the Field

When damage occurs to a traction belt, fast response is critical to minimize downtime and operational losses. Broekema’s Repair Kit is a ready-to-install emergency splice section, designed to keep your machine running — even if the belt is still inside the machine. It includes a pre-mounted section of belting with clips, allowing for quick installation in the field without the need for special tools or rivet setups.

The Repair Kit can be used both preventively (for instance, to strengthen connection sections before damage occurs) and reactively after a belt failure or clip pull-out. Thanks to a range of standard pitch sizes kept in stock, repairs can usually be made on-site within minutes. For less common configurations, custom kits can often be supplied with short lead times.

By avoiding full belt replacements and difficult in-machine repairs, the Repair Kit provides a cost-efficient, user-friendly solution — extending the lifespan of the web and improving operational continuity.

The Repair Kit offers a range of practical advantages over conventional in-field repair methods:

  • Quick Installation: No need to remove the belt or use specialized tools — ideal for emergency situations in the field.
  • Improved Belt Longevity: By reinforcing weak points or fixing local damage, full belt replacement is often avoided.
  • Standard Sizes from Stock: Kits for common pitches are available off-the-shelf, while Broekema can often supply customized kits for specific applications.
  • User-Friendly Design: With pre-mounted clips and a straightforward installation procedure, even less experienced users can carry out repairs quickly and reliably.
  • Machine Downtime Reduced: Because the repair can be carried out on-site and in the machine, the process saves significant time and cost.

Together, these benefits help reduce total cost of ownership and increase the uptime of your harvesting or processing equipment.
