Cast Rod-ends

Cast rod-ends are used to quickly recreate or replace damaged rods on a sieve web. When a rod breaks and no spare is available, these ends can be combined with a cut-to-length piece of 10 mm rod material — either steel or lightweight P90-10 — to form a new functional rod on-site.

The cast components are designed to fit seamlessly with Broekema’s traction belts and clip systems. For best results, the rod-ends are secured using Broekema Pilot Bolts and threaded plates, eliminating the need for welding or traditional riveting.

To lock the cast end to the round bar, the end of the steel rod can be lightly deformed with a hammer, or — in the case of P90-10 — the cast end can simply be pinched shut. This ensures the rod stays securely in place, even during heavy-duty use.

Cast rod-ends offer a fast, practical repair option that helps keep machines running in the field when full replacement rods aren’t available.
