ASP 2 Fingers

The ASP 2 fingers are part of Broekema’s advanced Active Side Protection (ASP) system — specially developed for wider belts with a pitch between 40 and 50 mm. These dual PU fingers provide effective side containment of bulk products on the belt while minimizing product damage, making them ideal for crops like potatoes, carrots, and other fragile produce.

Mounted directly on the rods, the ASP fingers travel dynamically with the web. This prevents friction with static parts like side plates or skirts, which are often responsible for bruising or scuffing. With Broekema’s ASP solution, your product stays protected during elevation — even in high-throughput situations.

The two-finger configuration offers increased side coverage without adding unnecessary weight. The strong yet flexible polyurethane material resists wear and helps keep mud and clay from sticking. ASP 2 fingers are easy to replace in the field and require no modifications to the belt or extra rod coverings.

By eliminating the need for static side plating, ASP fingers also contribute to lighter conveyor designs — improving fuel efficiency and reducing ground pressure.
