NC series - Rod/Belt drive

The NC Series sprockets are designed to drive Broekema webs through a combination of rod and belt engagement. This hybrid method provides added traction and stability, reducing the chance of slippage and improving control in demanding harvesting and processing conditions.

NC sprockets are ideal for narrow or space-constrained machines, where a compact drive solution is required without compromising reliability. The sprocket engages both with the rods and with the cams of Broekema traction belts (such as DN0909, EN0900, and G0505), delivering a strong, synchronized motion.

Constructed from durable cast iron, NC sprockets are typically available in a split design for easy installation. As with other Broekema drive components, bore and keyway options follow DIN standards but can be customized upon request. Setscrews can be added to secure the sprocket to the shaft if needed.

Combination drive sprockets like the NC Series are especially useful in applications where extra traction is required — for instance, when operating in wet, heavy, or sloped conditions. By driving both the rods and the belt cams simultaneously, the NC Series helps prevent misalignment, wear, and loss of traction.
