ASP 1 Finger

Broekema’s ASP 1 finger is part of our innovative Active Side Protection (ASP) concept — designed to keep your product on the belt while minimizing the risk of bruising and side loss. Specifically developed for belts with pitches between 28 and 35 mm, this compact PU finger is ideal for lightweight and space-efficient crop elevators, including those used for potatoes, tomatoes, and other sensitive produce.

Unlike traditional static side plates that cause unnecessary rubbing and damage, ASP fingers are mounted directly on the rods and move along with the web. This dynamic system reduces friction, eliminates side bruising, and keeps even delicate crops protected throughout the conveying process. The flexible yet durable high-grade PU material offers excellent wear resistance and prevents clay and mud build-up.

ASP 1 fingers are easy to mount, field-replaceable, and compatible with most Broekema belt types, including sieving belts, twin belts, and full-surface belts. They also enable lighter elevator designs by removing the need for side plating, supporting machine efficiency and reduced ground pressure.
