Helperbelt

The Helperbelt is Broekema’s patented solution for reinforcing the traditionally weakest part of any conveyor belt: the joint. In many cases, a belt can’t be installed endlessly, leaving the joint vulnerable to tearing or failure. With a Helperbelt, an extra set of non-endless traction belts is positioned precisely at the overlap or lock (clip) construction, restoring the belt’s original (or near-original) breaking strength and maintaining its flexibility.

This innovation significantly reduces wear and prevents frequent joint failures, as experienced in demanding applications like bunker discharge conveyors or washing installations where belts often tear at the joint. By distributing load more evenly across the connection, the Helperbelt extends belt life and offers a reliable solution whenever joints frequently fail. It also employs Broekema’s patented pilot bolts—fully sunk into the rods—so there’s minimal compromise on the belt’s overall performance.
